What are the students like at Arete?
First and foremost, Arete students are unique individuals. They are bright, open-minded, and eager to learn about the world around them. Our students welcome a challenge and are willing to do the work required to meet that challenge—both independently and in collaboration with their classmates.
When can I visit Arete?
We would love to meet you! Please call the school office at 770-482-6118 to schedule an appointment. Due to current health guidelines, we ask that all visitors wear a mask while on campus.
Should I bring my student on a campus tour?
Yes. Students applying to Kindergarten and above are encouraged to attend the tour with their parent or guardian to get a feel for our learning environment.
How do I apply?
All applications are submitted online. You can find the application and step-by-step instructions on the Application Process page of our website.
What are the age requirements for Kindergarten and Pre-School? Do you have a policy on summer birthdays?
Placement decisions are based on each child’s maturity, social readiness, and academic abilities. At Arete Preparatory School, we believe in supporting students who are ready to advance and do not hold children back solely because of their age. We will work closely with families to make the best choice for your child’s success and confidence.
What is the application fee?
The application fee is $150 per child (non-refundable).
Do I need to submit a separate application for each child?
Yes. A separate application must be completed for each child you wish to enroll.
Are uniforms required?
Yes.
Tops: Maroon or canary yellow polo shirts
Bottoms: Khaki or grey pants, skirts, shorts, or jumpers
Shoes: Black shoes (no sneakers allowed Monday–Thursday)
Fridays: Dress-down day! Students may wear clothing of their choice and sneakers.
Are there aftercare fees?
